What we do
There is a growing trend towards people using organic, zero waste beauty products. This is not surprising with the growing media coverage highlighting the devastating impact that plastic and the use of chemicals have on our environment and our health. You can shop in confidence knowing that our products are free from:
Plastic free, SLS’s free parabens free aluminium free palm oil free chemical free. We only make products that are: Organic, vegan friendly, zero waste, cruelty-free and preservatives.
Our luxury organic soaps are entirely home made using the traditional cold process method and are left to cure for a minimum of 4 weeks. The ingredients are carefully selected for their qualities and benefits using only Soil Association certified organic ingredients; except of course the water which can't be certified organic, we use natural spring water; and lye which turns the fats into soap; the lye being completely used up in the process.
It is our intention at Viridis Organics to try and get away from the industrial production of soap. It's not so much that they are mass produced more that they are chock-a-bloc with chemicals and additives which are part of the industrial process and not for the benefit of the purchaser. To this end we use the absolute minimum of ingredients to make the soaps and you can see all the ingredients before you buy when you click on the product images in the product browser.

Glycerine, highly moisture absorbant and attracts moisture to the skin. It is a by-product of the combination of the oils and lye during the soap making process; although some commercial manufacturers remove the glycerin for use in their more profitable loations and creams.
All our products are entirely homemade and do not have a mass produced appearance; they are not all identical and may have some imperfections such as small bubbles, which will not have any effect on the soap's quality.
We try to avoid using unnecessary packaging and wherever possible use recyclable materials. We never use plastic for packaging at any time.
